NOW, play the mission!

Today, half the world’s population lives in cities. By 2050, the UN estimates that humanity may well be 80% urban.

What will life on Earth be like as more and more of us become urban? As people flood into our cities, gated communities may not be secure enough to keep the economically marginal from harming our children. Maids, service station attendants and Wal-Mart employees have to live somewhere, but currently they take up too much space to be a sustainable resource. Luckily, global warming will ensure that a natural disaster will occur in your city within the next several years. When this disaster flattens, floods or burns down the poor areas of your city, how will you have them rebuild their communities in a more cost-effective and space-saving way?

This week your mission is to: post a comment describing your innovative, low-cost housing and community infrastructure solutions for the ghettos of the future..

If you find yourself having trouble with this task, please refer to the INVOKE game manual. Note that only game-playing comments to this post will be accepted. Post any general comments here.
